– Join us in welcoming Working Together Farm to the Market and check out their selection of seeds in space no. 82.
– Not only will Bear Cove Resources be hosting the Community Workshop from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., they will also be selling their composted seaweed all day. Pick up yours at space no. 81.
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Visit Clean Foundation‘s information table to learn about planting trees and rain gardens.
10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – Are you frustrated with the weeds that compete with your direct seeded crops like carrots and salad greens? Join David Greenberg, Abundant Acres Farm and learn some helpful tips and tricks from an experienced market gardener that can drastically reduce your weeding effort.
11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Join David Greenberg, Abundant Acres Farm for a lively hands-on session covering deep compost mulching, flame weeding, and using tarps for the most efficient weed control possible.
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Halifax Central Library‘s Media Studio will be hosting two family sing-along sessions. The first 30 minutes set will start at 11:15 a.m. and the second at 12:15 p.m.
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – From gathering to gardening, join Bear Cove Resources and learn about the benefits of composted seaweed. This hands-on workshop will show you how to start seeds which you can take home to transplant in your home garden. $6.00 (includes supplies). Space is limited for this workshop.
