The Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market is working with local charities to give back to the community this holiday season, and we need your help.

For the first four weekends in December, the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market will collect specific donations from customers for different non-profit organizations. For every item a customer donates they will receive a ballot for a chance to win a gift basket filled with vendor goodies. An item must be donated in order for a customer to receive a gift basket ballot. The four organizations are:

  1. Metro Turning Point
Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2
They are looking for men’s deodorant.
  2. Adsum for Women and Children
Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9
They are looking for women and children’s (boys and girls) pajama’s in a variety of sizes (XS-XXXL).
  3. Phoenix Youth Programs
Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16
They are looking for full-sized toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, razors, deodorant, etc.) for men and women.
  4. Feed Nova Scotia
Saturday, December 22 and Sunday, December 23
They are looking for non-perishable food donations.
